He took to Instagram with the news early in the day on Thanksgiving. “So much to be #thankful for on the #thanksgiving day. Leaving the hospital and home for #thanksgivingdinner,” Roker wrote in the caption of a short video from inside the hospital. “All right, this is my version of the Thanksgiving Day parade,” he said as he walked down the hospital’s hallway, IV access still secured in each arm. “Getting ready to leave the hospital; time to blow this taco stand. Woohoo!” The Today Show’s account quickly sent their love, writing, “We love you so much, Al! ❤️ Sending you all of our love.” Today cohosts Jenna Hager and Hoda Kotb wrote, “Yasss!! Now we are especially thankful for you too!!! And all those doctors and nurses who took care of our dear one! ❤️,” and “Yay Al!!!! Love love this video!!!Parade was not the same without YOU!!! ❤️,” respectively. Several of Roker’s colleagues commented, too, with Willie Geist writing, “Welcome home, Al! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃,” Sheinelle Jones added, “Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Love you guys!!! Best news of the day ❤️,” and Katie Couric said, “Yay Al! Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️❤️” Fans, celebrities, and more continued to flood the anchor’s comments with love and support, and later that day, he shared two more posts celebrating Thanksgiving from home with his family, where he managed to catch some of the actual parade. Roker was hospitalized earlier in the month after a blood clot in his leg broke apart, sending clots into his lungs. “After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery,” he wrote on Instagram on Nov. 18. Roker’s return to The Today Show has yet to be announced, but we’re just glad to see he’s doing well! More News:
