Beats by Dre is known for earbuds and headphones that deliver rich, vibrant audio along with some colorful shades and partnerships for unique designs. And today, they’re partnering with Kim Kardashian—for Beats X Kim—and with the first ever custom models of Beats Fit Pro. Normally true wireless earbuds come in a few shades that focus on black or white, with some colors tossed in. But Beats X Kim focuses on three neutral shades: Moon, Dune and Earth. Described as light, medium and deep shades, they’re meant to be fashion accessories as much as earbuds that can be a statement and match any given look. It’s a custom color palette across three options that are quite minimalist. The right and left earbuds along with the carrying cases are all color matched as well. Speaking to Parade, Oliver Schusser, Vice President of Beats and Apple Music, has said, “We’re thrilled for this iconic partnership on our first-ever Beats Fit Pro custom.” He also recognizes that Beats and Kim are both known in the design and style world, which has us wondering if this collaboration could eventually extend. Via the press release, Kim Kardashian states: “I wanted to break away from the idea that headphones have to be colorful to make a statement. This collaboration is special because it allows you to blend in or stand out, and Beats is known for creating products that showcase individuality.” Asides from the new paint job here, Beats Fit Pro in Moon, Dune or Earth offer the same feature set as other color options of the earbuds. They still boast around six hours of listening time and can be recharged in the carrying case. Fit Pro will pair with an iPhone and sync with your various Apple devices thanks to the custom H1-Chip inside. You’ll also be able to access Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, hands-free via the onboard microphones. Additionally, you can block the world out or let some of it in with noise cancellation and transparency modes. Beats Fit Pro notably features a wing-tip design that keeps the earbuds in place in your right and left ears while wearing them. And that goes for a day at the office, a trip around the city and even a full-fledged HIIT workout. And with the three shades—Moon, Dune and Earth—you’ll be able to color match these with your favorite outfits from Skims.
