Created by @micayla_zee on Twitter, Hargitay is superimposed into a photo of Meloni from 1990. Regardless, the stitching work was excellent, and Hargitay appreciated the effort enough to feel compelled to share it with fans of their Law & Order characters. While Hargitay wore a classic black shirt and high-waisted jeans, Meloni sported a Popeye shirt with a hoop earring visible in his left ear. Hargitay didn’t caption the photo or add a message, leaving it entirely up to fans to react in any way they saw fit. Many people were shocked by the post, with one writing, “NOT YOU POSTING THIS AT 6:56AM, THIS IS HOW WE STARTING THE DAY OFF😭😭???” Another replied, “It’s too early for these shenanigans sis 😂 I hope you are feeling better and have a great day. 🦋❤️🙏.” Hargitay shared a stunning selfie on Instagram earlier this week revealing that she’s battling a common cold! One fan even said, “Anyway, thanks for that,” and shared that they made the photo their new phone lockscreen. The post also led some to envision a new spinoff Law & Order series set in the ’80s, with one commenting, “Law & Order 1980s series when? I wanna see Stabler roughing up a drug dealer while Olivia gently talks to a former stripper about her favorite client’s drug operations in Miami.” The original photo actually features Meloni alongside actor Ned Eisenberg, which PEOPLE posted with a series of other Meloni throwback pictures. Eisenberg also starred in Law & Order: SVU as Roger Kressler and played the character James Granick in the original series. He had memorable roles in other projects like Last Man Standing and A Civil Action, and more recently, Mare of Easttown and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
