For reasons known only to himself, Prince Williamdressed George in an exact miniature replica of the navy suit and red-and navy-striped tie that the duke himself wore in his capacity as president of England’s football association. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge wore an eye-catching red blazer by Zara, completing the family trio’s show of team colors for England vs Germany. All three were seen clapping and cheering as England scored 2 goals to Germany’s 1, securing their place in the quarter-finals. Later a photo of Kate, William and George celebrating was posted to the Cambridges’ Instagram account with the caption ‘Incredible performance @England!’ Also in the royal box was Ed Sheeran, who sat just behind the royal family, as well as soccer legend David Beckham and pop star Ellie Goulding. Before the game kicked off, George stood between his parents as they sang the national anthem. Tomorrow brings a much more somber occasion for William, as he attends the long-awaited unveiling of the statue of Princess Diana in the garden Kensington Palace. He’ll be joined by Prince Harry, has also flown from California for the event to honor their mother, but while members of the Spencer family will be present it looks as though Kate isn’t on the guest list. Next up, Prince William photos through the years!
