In this week’s episode of The Equalizer, “Bout That Life,” Harry reintegrates into a regular existence with Mel (Liz Lapira) and McCall becomes ensnared in a deadly battle between rival rap crews when she is hired by the wife of a famous rapper to prove the musician is innocent of murdering a fellow artist. Rapper Dilemma (Rick Ross) is serving time for a murder of rival rapper Dre Bid that his wife believes he did not commit. When the lyrics of a new track is dropped by an anonymous artist with details of the murder that was never released to the public, she calls on The Equalizer to help prove his innocence. McCall learns the friendly rivalry began with Dilemma’s dis tracks, a PR stunt that lent itself to his popularity as an artist, but seemed to ignite a war in the streets. When Dilemma’s son was beaten up by Dre Bids’s crew, Dilemma just wanted to end the violence. McCall enlists Dante’s (Tory Kittles) help to uncover what really happened if Dilemma wasn’t the perpetrator and why he took the fall.
