Is there a To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 3 trailer?
Yes, the first trailer for To All The Boys: Always and Forever just dropped. In the trailer, we travel everywhere from Korea to New York with the beloved main characters. Is To All The Boys Always and Forever based on a book?
The movie series To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is based on a young adult book series of the same name, authored by Jenny Han. Han wrote three books, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You and Always and Forever. From what we’ve seen of the movie trailer so far, it appears To All The Boys: Always and Forever remains true to the book on which it’s based on. The third book in the series features a prom and graduation, all while Peter and Lara Jean must decide where they will go to college and if long-distance is something their relationship can survive. As we see in the trailer (so it’s not really a spoiler!), Peter gets into Stanford and when Lara Jean does not, her college plans change. But as a result, her relationship status might have to change, too. The book also has a subplot of Lara Jean’s father getting married to Ms. Rothschild, their next-door neighbor.
What happened in the first and second movies?
In the first To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movie, Lara Jean’s love letters to all the boys she’s ever loved accidentally get mailed out and Lara Jean must deal with the backlash these letters cause. Peter is one such boy a love letter is mistakenly mailed to and the two confront their real feelings for each other all while “fake dating” to make Peter’s ex (and her ex-best friend) Gen, jealous. Until, inevitably, they end up dating like, for real. In the second movie—To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You—Lara Jean reunites with one of the boys who received a letter in the first movie, John Ambrose (Fisher). This sets off a chain of events that develops into a love triangle and threatens Lara Jean’s relationship with Peter. In the end though, Lara Jean and Peter make it through, with Lara Jean ultimately realizing she loves Peter after kissing John Ambrose.
What will happen in To All The Boys: Always and Forever?
The third movie in the romance trilogy may feel familiar and that’s because, in plot, it’s a lot like the third movie in the High School Musical series. But you know, without the music. (A couple traverses senior year, taking part in all the standard senior-year things like prom and graduation, all while the prospect of their futures at different colleges looms over them.) In To All The Boys: Always and Forever, Peter and Lara Jean plan to attend Stanford together for their freshman year of college. But when Lara Jean doesn’t get in, she starts dreaming of a different life post-high school graduation: one that takes her to New York City. What would this mean for their relationship? Only Peter and Lara Jean can decide.
